UA Cossatot encourages OER use. Any faculty interested in developing an OER course should submit an application to develop. The application is located in SharePoint under Documents and Forms. You will meet with the Director of Educational Resources at the ERC to discuss your needs, and the OER Board will help you locate, develop, and vet Open Educational Resources that support your requested content and criteria.
OER Support
The OER Board at UA Cossatot will serve a central support role for all faculty wishing to incorporate OER into a course. After submitting an application and an initial meeting with the Director of Educational Resources, OER applicants will be enrolled in a Blackboard course to learn more about OER. Additional consultation with OER Board members while developing a course that meets the highest academic quality is required.
As you can see, the ERC's skill set and professional values fit hand in hand with Open Educational Resources!
